Situation: The company was trying to break
into the high end custom home builders, but had been
unsuccessful. They tried sales people and phone calls, but
neither worked.
Solution: The third week into the
contract, we decided to draft a letter and send it out to 150
home builders who recently pulled permits for new construction.
The letter was a condensed version of the master letter, with
an offer of 2% cash back rebate after the project was
finished.
Results: Within two weeks of mailing the
letter, they got 40 bid opportunities worth over $670,000 in
potential business. We worked on the client’s inside reality to
make sure they turned the bids around
quickly and accurately, which secured the business and gave
them a greater than 50% close ratio. Due to the nature of home
building, these orders will be flowing in over the next 12
months. The orders from
these quotes were responsible for the $66,000 increase in
business in March. The owner is a hard working dedicated
person, and it’s a very satisfying feeling to know our program
put money in his pocket for the first time since he bought the
business 1 ½ years ago.
